Leongatha Lyric TheatreOUR COUNTRY’S GOOD by Timberlake Wertenbaker, based on Thomas Keneally’s novel The Playmaker, directed by Sue Lindsay ~ The first play ever staged in Australia, on June 4, 1789 by a group of convicts directed by Lt. Ralph Clark R M. 
Our Country’s Good has the earthy humour of these colourful characters and follows preparations for this performance, despite the disapproval of some officers.

Off the Leash Theatre – THE LARAMIE PROJECT directed by Todd Miller ~ 1998 Matthew Shepard was kidnapped, severely beaten, tied to a fence and left to die on the outskirts of Laramie, Wyoming. Tectonic Theatre Project visited Laramie to conduct over 200 interviews with townspeople after this brutal murder.  From these interviews came The Laramie Project
