‘Strangers on a Train’ is a 2013 play by Craig Warner based on Patricia Highsmith’s thrilling 1950 novel with a film noir aspect inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s 1951 movie.
The story concerns two strangers who meet on a train.
One is having trouble with his unfaithful wife, the other has an overbearing father. This leads to a suggestion that they “exchange” murders so there will be no apparent motive and neither will be caught.
