Lunana – A Yak in the Classroom

We had planned to be screening Tár this month, but owing to a delay in the Australian DVD release, we’ve been forced to push it back a bit.  It seems to be scooping the various Film Awards at the moment!

Our March screening will now be ‘Lunana – A Yak in the Classroom’, a family drama from Bhutan about an aspiring singer living with his grandmother in the capital of Bhutan who dreams of getting a visa to move to Australia. 
Lunana was nominated for the Best International Feature Film at the 2022 Oscars and has won 20 international awards.
