FAMDA’s main focus is on staging high quality productions at the Foster War Memorial Arts Centre.
FAMDA usually stages at least one full length play each year plus the occasional musical and shows which encourage youth participation.
Productions have included Australian, British and American plays and musicals. There have also been several innovative productions by local playwrights.
FAMDA really enjoys staging plays which are a challenge, Oedipus Rex, Shadowlands, Blue Remembered Hills and The Vagina Monologues being prime examples.
Each year in August FAMDA hosts the South Gippsland One Act Play Festival with generous sponsorship from the local Community Bank® Branch of Bendigo Bank.
