Attend the festival

The South Gippsland one act play festival provides an opportunity for friendly theatrical competition with some great prizes to be won, thanks to our local Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank.

It’s an exciting prospect when theatre companies from all over Victoria come together to showcase their talents to an audience not normally available to them. It is an opportunity for performers to meet and mingle with new talent and to catch up with old friends. It’s also a fantastic weekend of polishing theatrical crafts and creating ongoing relationships with actors, directors, playwrights and audiences.

For its audience a festival provides an opportunity for you to see new plays, support your friends, meet new people and be thoroughly entertained. It is a time for locals and visitors to see new works written and performed by emerging theatre-makers, while soaking up the convivial atmosphere, all without having to spend a fortune.

FAMDA hosts its 20th One-Act Play Festival on 27 and 28 August 2022 at the Foster War Memorial Arts Centre and you are invited to come and sample some (or all) of the amazing theatrical entertainment on offer.

The festival is divided into sessions, each with at least 3 plays.

A 2022 Festival Pass costs just $20 and entitles you to see every play in the festival.
A session ticket costs $12.
The Young Players Festival admission price is $5 for adults, children are free.
