Prom Coast Film Society

Screenings are at 7:30pm on the first Friday of each month in the Fish Creek Memorial Hall.

The Prom Coast Film Society was established in 2011 with the aim of screening high quality non-mainstream films in a community setting plus the opportunity for social discussion and interaction.

A film society allows for the screening of a range of films covering diverse topics, many of which may be confronting and controversial. People have the opportunity to see many styles of film, ranging from comedy and drama, to documentary and animation, as well as foreign-language films.

The Prom Coast Film Society welcomes healthy discussion among members and guests after each film. Attendees are also able to rate the film.

To add to the social atmosphere, wine and fruit juice are on sale by the glass at each screening. A light supper is served at the conclusion of the film (a gold coin donation applies) so you can meet others and socialise. You can bring your own cushions or chairs to make yourself feel really at home.

The Prom Coast Film Society Committee looks forward to your company on the first Friday of each month. Why not come along to next month’s screening and join? The Committee and subscribers will make you feel most welcome!

It is very cheap movie-going and you will be surrounded by other enthusiastic supporters in a welcoming setting.
